Sandy has been a part Allwel’s team since 2009, with the roles of Community Integration Counselor, Positive Behavior Intervention & Support Specialist, Independent Living Skills Trainer and Service Coordinator. Sandy is currently the Director of Behavior Health in Western New York overseeing both the Behavior Health program and Clinical TBI/NHTD Waiver program. while still engaging with our participants in the field. Sandy is a fundamental component of our care team providing services to TBI and NHTD waiver participants and behavioral health clients including the NYS HARP program. Sandy's educational background includes: A Bachelor’s in Psychology/Education, MS Ed in Education and Community Mental Health Counseling, NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Certification as a Trauma Counselor. She has well over 33 years of experience in providing counseling, teaching, and behavioral supports. In her spare time, Sandy can be found enjoying her children and grand children.
